I got there just after my Mom coded and they declared her dead. A room full of healthcare workers turning to look at me. I was bringing her an egg McMuffin for breakfast and she was supposed to be discharged that day. I’ll never get over it.

Walking out of the hospital leaving my 19 year old son because he didn’t make it due to Leukemia. The screams I will never forget. Having to hold your son one last time, begging him to please wake up. A mother’s worst nightmare. I just hope he’s okay up there with my father 💔💔💔

Oh yes when they were ventilating my husband and sending him on a helicopter and I was all alone away from family. Our family lived in another state. He survived on a ventilator until family came to see him we took him off and got 6 more months with him. He was a veteran and will always be my hero..

When walking in after my mommy was taken on ambulance, having to walk the long hallways hoping for good news, sitting in that little room, hearing the words, “ we are sorry we tried everything” and then being scorted to the room where she layed cold and lifeless, I am ok but I am not ok 😭
