@guitar.gear.connection: One tiny washer… two possible reasons. On John Lennon’s Epiphone Casino, the selector switch had a washer around it. Why? 1️⃣ The hole might’ve been drilled too big — so the washer held the switch steady. 2️⃣ Or, the hole could’ve been drilled slightly off-round, so the washer hid the imperfection. Even after John stripped the finish, he kept that washer in place.
