this slide had issues leading up to this. it was leaking in the days leading up to it. passengers on previous cruise had video of it and staff telling them it was fine

couldn’t you argue negligence, for a lack of a better word, for not inspecting regularly enough? say of course they didn’t know it could happen, because it wasn’t checked recently enough

It looks like a design fail to me. I can see exactly why this happened. I am shocked it was constructed. Every single person would have hit that plexiglass in the same spot, hard with their heels. Dropping straight down, and hitting that spot.

what about Res IPSA Loquitur? they don't need direct evidence of negligence and should win under the assumption negligence. but can't you also go after the manufacturer of the slide? like were the engineering measurements correct for the material used?

its a risk you take while riding the slide imo. anything can happen to anyone at any time. you only control yourself. the slides probably dont get tended to and checked like they should. there SHOULD be logs when any employee touched that slide to look at it/fix it/clean it.

Yes I went through the same thing with Royal and I got hurt and I was the only one who got hurt on the steps and becz they didn’t have warning of the area I only got $8k but I have a injury that’s will effect me for life

Is it standard for the cruise line to keep him on the ship for medical care - come on - get him a real doctor. I feel so bad for this guy and his family. I think what hits home is I take so many cruises with my family and these slides are so much fun ! And this is a brand new ship which is crazy
