@yogi.backpack: I wasn’t planning to take that mangrove tunnel. The tide was low—getting lower by the minute—and something in me said “just go.” So I did. We peeked in, turned around… And on the way back, there she was. A young nurse shark, deep in the mangroves, trapped above the waterline. She was in distress—tired, stuck, barely moving. And in that moment, I knew I was meant to be there. Without thinking, I stepped in and gently redirected her. She was hesitant, exhausted… but eventually, she found her way back to the deeper water. It broke my heart to see her like that. But I’m so grateful I was there to help. This ocean gives me so much—and today, I got to give something back. These moments remind me why I care so deeply. Why I speak for the ocean. Why I pick up trash. Why I believe nature always guides us—if we listen. 🦈💙 #sharkrescue #mangroves #floridawildlife #nurseshark #sharks
