Yes, but we all know that hospitals push doctors to prescribe certain things for their own profit such as the covid vaccines. That’s true though he should be after the hospitals and not the individual doctors.

I mean doctors hands are tied , we want to do so much for our patients but our hands are tired by so many other factors. I don’t think any doctor will hold treatment from their patient. If we can’t help : we always recommend and tell them check with your insurance.

I am a provider at a family med clinic. We never even got any of the Covid vaccines. We tell patients to get vaccinated at the pharmacy. We only have flu and tetanus at our clinic. Cost too much to keep

With all due respect but, we internists working for most advanced medical companies do get pushed by the employers and insurance companies to do these value based care and are given bonuses when met. You are an anesthesiologist and don’t see this in the outpatient setting and how we are treated and abuse to meet these metrics for the sake of the companies that get the monies directly from Medicare. I do agree that RFK jr. has no idea of what is happening but there is also some truth. Monetary incentives are a common practice in the primary care setting so yes, most of us are bribed to meet these metrics as part of our bonuses, it is up to us to be ethical and get the hell out of those jobs. Even the FQHC’s centers are being manipulated by the top insurances to do “value based care” so the center gets more money. Primary care is a constant battle.
