I saw a Korean creator explaining that they also represent historical art where the tigers are derpy because they are the nobility, and the magpie was the common ppl. Sussie stealing the hat (a hat worn by nobility) from Derpy is symbolic of the people taking the power back from the ruling class so as a pair, they represent power to the people... the honmoon working 👍 you're on track, per Korean folklore 😂

There’s also the fact that when Rumi followed Derpy he entered a statue that literally looked like a carbon copy of him. And it was in a pair that was outside of a building, which is where people often place guardian type creatures.

Derpy is Jinu’s emotional support Tiger. Everytime Jinu has a bad memory or is down, Derpy pulls him out of it by bumping Jinu and then Jinu pets Derpy and it pulls him out of his bad memories . Derpy is Jinu’s guardian.
