I had mitral valve regurgitation and mild tricuspid valve regurgitation with a low ejection fraction 27% right now. Still, doctors are trying to avoid surgery with medicine only, even though they are not talking about Mitralclip could you explain it .

Had 3 open heart surgeries. Last one was a mitral valve replacement. I asked for the minimally invasive option and was told I wasn't a candidate 😔. Been 13 yrs and doing very well!

I didn’t qualify for the mitra clip as I have a porcelain heart. They went through my left side to replace my mitral valve since they couldn’t open me down the middle again. 3 weeks out and getting better every day.

My Dad died November 2024. 3 days after OHS to replace a leaking heart valve. He was on medication for a year prior for this. Dr's confirmed in August 2024 that there's been no improvement and surgery is on the cards. 🥺 Biggest shock. He was stable and the strongest his been health wise during that time despite being on dialysis for almost 3 years. According to the Dr's the prognosis was good but sadly my Papa didn't make it. 🥺😌

I had an aneurism the size of a softball on the back of my heart. It burst while on the table and I lost 1/4 of my heart. Fast forward 6 years and had a heart transplant. Two cracked chests surgeries and thankfully I’m alive

My husband is week 5 of a quadruple (5) artery bypass and our Surgeon Dr Craig Larson saved his life. He was a walking heart attack and was given no life span but rather he could die any day if he doesn’t get the surgery. Recovery is tough I can’t even explain but in the end worth it. His surgeon said he gave him 20 extra years of life. All my love and respect to heart surgeons. They save lives every day. I’m forever grateful.

Just had a 13mm supracristal VSD repair 12 weeks ago at 33yrs old (CHD). Wish I never have to go through open heart again because that was/is the most hardest physically and mentally thing I’ve ever gone through!

I couldn't avoid it. I was 18. leaking Valve and 2 AAA... turned into finding a extremely rare issue with my pulmonary valve too. 11 days post op my aortic valve dissected and I had to be busted open again. trying ti get approved for a injection med as my last hope before a transplant is needed.

please read about EECP treatment. I was due for CABG, with 4 arteries blocked 90% And I am diabetic. Went to India did EECP. blockage 35%.

My mom had her mitral valve and her and her aortic she had no choice she is 4 months post opt , her dr said when he was doing her sugrey he didn’t if she was going make it it was worse then he thought she is here today cardiologist was great 5*

Hello! I had open heart surgery and they did a mitral valve and aortic valve repair. I had an aortic ring aneurysm and they applied the Yacoub technique. I still have extrasystoles and they told me I would get rid of them. Will I ever get rid of them? Is it a risk to the heart now?

This … my son was on chemotherapy pre stem cell transplant for recurring lymphoma, then a scan showed an intra atrial clot . A clot in his heart. A week of several teams passing the buck , the cardiothoracic surgeon offered open heart surgery. We refused. Twice. Eventually they used clot busters to lyse the clot

How do you avoid a gene that creates a mass in your heart? ♥️Educate me so my kids won’t have to go through it. If it’s Hereditary Teach me. It’s in my DNA 🧬 how do you stop it?. Yes you can control some things but not others. Sadly.
