The Douens are unalived, unbaptised children. They lure children into the forest and because their feet are backward, it makes people searching for the missing children think they went in the opposite direction. They’re child sized, with large brimmed hats that cover their faces. 🇹🇹

Ahhh!! My husband is Trini 🇹🇹!! I had to make him watch this one! Which brought on all sorts of stories from him about his grandmother seeing a soucouyant when she was a child. His mother making him turn around 3 times before entering their house at night to ward off evil spirits. Plus a La Diablesse and Bacoo there are SO many!! He said he would hear so many sounds in his grandparents house as a child!
