When I played ball people used to say I was a top-notch on-ball defender and even shot blocker. My tricks was forcing a player to his weak hand because very few players are ambidextrously skilled. If you just do that you will be a decent defender. If you want to be elite apply high energy and keep the defender in front of you at all times.
