Nice story but that’s an exception, not the norm. We are a much more divided country with a fascist mentality of snooping, suspicion, ratting on each other, toxic individualism, and tribalism. I could see this exception happening in a city or perhaps a very blue state, but not as a country.

The case of demnark also shows, that you cannot defeat an aggressor with pacifism. without the allied militaries, denmark would never have been freed and instead, have ceased to exist in the long run. In fascists eyes, pacifism is weakness and thry have no pity for the weak. Also you compare foreign occupation to internal political struggles which is an unfitting comparison on many points. Still you are right, that non-violent protest is a great way to show people who really is in the wrong e.g. M.L.K./Civil rights.

Uhh that’s a very very rose tinted read of the Danish resistance to the nazi occupation. There was several extremely notable armed resistances and assassinations. The violence was so significant that Britain was supplying weapons to the resistance and the gestapo had to spend significant resources combatting it. Sure, some of danish resistance was nonviolent as you highlighted, but a lot of it was extremely violent. They are intertwined.

I’m sorry I’m not waiting for Nazi’s to take over to non violent resistance. By that time it’s to late. I’m not saying we have to get violent, but we need to make it hard on them now and not after most Latinos are put in cages.

It’s possible to stop fascism with non-violence. This likelihood of this possibility is highly dependent on what stage the fascism is when targeted with non-violent action. Unfortunately no one listened to the Left when we told them exactly what was coming. They berated us. Blamed us. From 2017 to the present it has been a brick wall. Laws could have been enacted. Federal agencies could have been employed to control and eradicate Fascist, Nazi, Racist organizations. But instead they were determined to investigate Leftists. Criminalize anti-genocide protests and activists. At this stage fascism is in power. They hold majority control over every branch of government. No, you can no longer shame them from power. They are hell bound to gerrymander permanent majority in congress. I wish I was wrong but you will not vote this out. You will not reason this away. You will not plead it to change. The non-violent options became unviable when its voters refused to hold the Democratic Party to account for genocide.

Have you watched Number 24? It's a movie based on the Norwegian resistance to the n**is... More specifically it is about the most decorated private citizen in Norwegian history. I think there are going to be multiple facets to resistance... Anyhow, stories like this one make me feel inspired and give me hope. There are heroic people in our population they will step up...
