@noreenslens: Replying to @qwerty5asdf Ever seen the T’boli of Mindanao dance Madal Tahu? 🌾🕊 It’s not just steps—it’s a centuries-old story about a bird with a broken leg learning to fly again. A dance of harvest, healing, and hope.
Greetings from Indonesia, my grandfather is also a native Magindanaw so I am a descendant of 2 countries 🇵🇭🇮🇩

If you can maintain your culture from colonialism, maybe your culture and music will be like Indonesia. We even have original Indonesian music genres.Maybe PH also has its own unique music😇actually we are brother,so many similarities

Where are the nationwide festivals celebrating and making all of these unique cultural art forms visible to everyone? Why are these not being HEAVILY featured in schools and in media? 🤨

you can't keep anything if it was destroyed by colonial powers, i read about how the Japanese empire destroys all the artifacts of pre-colonial Philippines inside the intramuros(i forgot where i read it).

I think the Pabasa ng Pación of the Tagalogs can trace back its roots to their pre-colonial ancestors. As per I've read, the tune of the pabasa is the same as how the pre-colonial tagalogs sung their praises to their gods.
