31 years later and we still pass blame... yawn! my High School has Zulu as a language instead of Afrikaans - yet there there were still more people in the Afrikaans class. if you are unhappy about something, work together to a common goal and make a change.

it is good and well to be taught in your own language but Engslish is the language that they will need if they go to work in most countries!

The difference is that schools were being built, why not build schools ? Are afrikaans and English schools not allowed to exist ?

We will never have an education system that caters for everyone's home languages. Certain subjects can't be translated into all of our official languages. For e.g. IT Industry doesn't translate well into Afrikaans.

Okey so the floor is open for debate. How do we fix it ! There is a global standard, keep that in mind. you can't have a 80%SA student and put him on international level and he gets 10% the the Education structure is trash.

Eish. I had Xhosa as a subject at school, kid. u can not erase history, and my father and cousins went to farm schools with Xhosa children during apartheid, those children sat in our home and my mother raised some during apartheid. Please become more informed before you go onto playforms and talk. 🙄🙄

My daughter has learned about Mandela and Ghandi and has never been taught anything about Shakespeare yet. And almost every school is mixed race and everyone has equal opportunity at school, what are you talking about?

Is this child still in school? With all due respect, in what perspective is the current school structure colonial? I know language can be an obstacle, but 2+2=4 in Zulu and English. This guy talk a lot and is saying nothing.
