My parents weren’t wealthy by any means, but I got a new backpack almost every year because it was fun. I’d do the same if I had kids, you only have 12 years they are in school and school supply shopping is the best part!

We usually buy PB every year. They are amazing quality. The prior years backpacks are still used… for sleepovers, play dates, going out bags, travel bags… multi functional uses then just school.

I bought a pottery barn backpack as a diaper bag so then it can be used as an overnight bag or whatever later on. The quality def lasts more than a year and they are so versatile!

We get pottery barn every year and I spray them with scotch guard and I wash them and they still look brand new

i grew up poor and even got a new backpack every year! it was my fav part of school shopping. once the new year came, the last years bag became our out of school bag for like sleepovers or day trips. so after 2 years of a bag being used, it was normally time to retire it anyway. highschool i got a north face which lasted all 3 years
