There’s a number 3..it was small but I had been holding onto MANY things that built up through the years that I never spoke on so that one small thing was my last straw. Lesson learned I should of spoke up sooner

for point #1 I would also say that if something small can break the friendship, sometimes it means that either person has been resentful and not communicating how they truly feel and it got to the point where they finally exploded and it happened to be over something small. If that makes sense!

What about when they just don’t value your time. They ask you to hang out then don’t respond and same day you find out they are hanging out with their own friends literally same day same time doing same thing they called you for to do but didn’t respond to you.

Yeah I’ve been #1 I’m not proud and def should’ve spoken up however I do feel like some things are a bit hard like when you feel like a friend is being envious or subtly passive agressive

#2! I was told in December if we’re not friends I will act as if we are at gatherings and I felt like it was an odd thing to say when things were good. Looking back now we’re not friends lol

Thank you for this! Very well said and explained. I need more friends or acquaintances rather than have more of my friendship style as me. And I had a close friend I viewed as family but she was that one who could not manage the growth I was experiencing so she waited for something small to happen to blow up at me and abruptly ended our friendship. That hurt so bad but I’ve been able to move on.
