I hate the “good men” rhetoric because it just puts the blame on women in a repackaged misogynistic way. I say this as someone that got married young (20) and divorced and then got remarried again (25) still young but to a great person this time. It’s a lot of work for sure in a lot of ways, being young and married to someone more established (my husband is older than me) and I would say to anyone that if you’re going to do this, you really have to ask yourself why and what you need.

How long has she been married? Do they have kids? What hardships have they faced? I know people who were married at that age. Some are still married. Some are divorced because the man changes so much.

I was married at 20 and he's been amazing for years even after havinh babies. However, I will never victim blame because I have had my trust broken by someone who showed no signs before. They LIE. I got lucky that my experiences helped me find a good man, but they are rare.
