@no4mal11: It’s extremely important to choose your spouse carefully not just for yourself, but for your future children. Your spouse will raise them, and marrying without caution can cause lasting harm. Delay having children until you truly know your partner; once children are involved, whether you stay or divorce, the damage is done if the choice was careless. This affects the ummah too for we need children raised firm upon the dīn, not negligent or deviant. Look for piety and good character, notice red flags before marriage, and don’t choose selfishly. Ibn ‘Umar said: “Just as your father has rights over you, so too your child has rights over you.” (Al-Adab al-Mufrad, 94) The Prophet ﷺ said: “… and your child has rights over you.” (Muslim, 1159) Shaykh ‘Abd al-Ghani al-Dahlawi said: “Choose women who are righteous and of good descent…” [al-Nur 24:3] Be cautious, be wise, and learn from others’ mistakes. #islam #salaf #salafi #sunni #fyp #viral #educational
