My newly 18 child just went through this. His job was to get labs done. Insurance card and all directions given beforehand. Dude got so stressed he passed out during blood draw. Has never passed out before. So now on his record has an alert. 😆

My son switched to a bank account for adults when he turned 18 but they still had my email address on file. So he had to call them and ask them to change it. They asked him so many questions he eventually panicked and hung up on them. I was standing right there but he didn’t want them to hear him ask his mom for help 😭😂

I had the opposite experience at the orthodontist. I walked up to reception and announced my arrival for the appointment I'd scheduled and she asked me if my mom would be in to fill out the paperwork. I had to explain that I was 21 and paying for the braces myself. She apologized and sheepishly handed me the paperwork which I filled out. When I got called on back, the first thing the orthodontist said was, "your mom can come on back with us if she wants" 🥲. I'd been so proud of myself for finding an orthodontist, saving the money for braces, making the appointment, and everything 😂
