handle them 24/7 if you want them to be cuddly. and don't worry, you can never annoy a kitten too much

Han 📚🇨🇦 :
We kennel our cats at night, have since they were little babies. They stay calm and love to sleep in thier hammocks. It made it so we didn’t have to worry about them being unsafe at night. They know the routine and have big zoomies in the mornings and late nights. But instant calm down in the kennel

Get up once in the night and check on them as if they were a baby…speaking as someone who had a kitten with seperation anxiety and would scream the house down every night until I figured this out😂 (she grew out of it a few weeks after me getting up to pet her at 2am consistently for a few weeks)

prepare for an adult cat, not for a kitten. e.g. fur and teeth brushing to get them used to it, touching their tummy/ears/feet to get them used to vet checks. if you want to do any kind of training (leash training, using the toilet instead of a litter box) the best time to start is now while their brains are still a sponge for information ❤️

Keep their areas clean EVERYDAY which might seem like alot for some people to clean everyday but trust me on this one. And keep them away from outside shoes, do not let them rub themselves all over your outside shoes or else they could catch ringworm 💀.

Routine routine routine. And include things good for them like vacuum, walks, brushing teeth, brushing hair, playing with their feet, feeding times, sleeping times, safe rooms with essentials but not too overstimulating. And once they understand that these routines are safe they’ll be able to enjoy them more

Ash 🐱 :
Don’t let them play with your hands it creates bad habits when older and socialise them to everything (brushing, nail cutting, handling, cat carrier) these are the two things I wish I knew with my current cat when he was a kitten 🥰

TRAIN THEM
just the small things but it'll make your life so much easier, use an alarm clock for meal times, don't feed them until the alarm goes off but they won't learn to wake you up or to beg and scream because they'll learn the clock tells them when it's dinnertime for example.
teach them to sit to receive their meal, or to sit on a specific spot, this way they won't climb you or jump on the counter for food.
obliterate their boundaries, I don't mean be mean to them but touch the belly, touch their feet and tails, pick them up all the time until they enjoy it, you'll regret if you can't trim your cats nails or touch their tummy to see what the strange lump is without them bunny kicking you. it's really important to desensitise them now instead of when they're older we you have to take it super slow or have them sedated to do basic care.

kat <3;) (dandadan version) :
Get them used to water, so in the future bathing would be easier, and always touch their paws, so nails could be easily trimmed

Bring them to bed at night after a long playing session. Every day no matter what. That’s how I got my 3 cats to sleep through the night, they go to bed when I do.

Autumn Rose :
Annoy them. Touch them. Get them used to paws being touched, ears, mouth. Hands are not toys. If they latch to kick or bite your hands then redirect to kicker toys and chase toys. Dont feed them as soon as you wake up. This associates you getting up with food and trust me they will wake you earlier and earlier haha. I've had my bengals now for 20 yrs and they are the soppiest most gentle cats ever and in great health!

🇦🇪🇵🇸 :
Get them used to the outdoors, i regret not doing that with my cats. I dont mean throw them out n let them wander, i mean harness train them while theyre young, let them outside with you, get them to socialise with people or else theyd become terrified of everyone and everything outside
