@4drmoz: Toes can be soo tricky at times! It is one of my least favourite areas as often Melanoma can be really tricky to pick up here. There are several accepted patterns for moles to follow on Acral skin( the skin that lives on the soles of your feet and the palms of your hand!) But sometimes moles don't follow the rules or can have subtle abnormalities. This is definitely one of the body parts where digital imaging has made a big difference as I can think of a handful of foot melanomas I have diagnosed over the years where my job was made significantly easier with being able to compare changes over time!! Should you worry if you have a mole on your foot? Probably not as Melanoma there is rare BUT asny changing mole should be reviewed and for people with darker skin tones pay special attention as melanoma in "rare" locations is actually far more common in skin of colour!
