Which is why many coffee shops or restaurants put a closing at 9 last call for food at 8:30 and last call for drink at 8:45 or sth like that

you do understand,in normal circumstances you are not paid extra if you overwork,meaning those extra minutes you spend ,are on you and basically you do the owner a favor, that's all there is to it. And yea people have lives and every minute spent by working extra,it's time spent for free.
