It. takes. time. You’re not going to make $3500 on your vending machine in a month. This is to add to the experience for your customers and make the time they have to be there more enjoyable. Most vending machines drop drinks a little. It’s fine. Everything is fine.

Put a sign on the vending machine that says that the drinks are cold, and if you're worried about the sodas dropping, buy a piece of foam and cut it to fit the bottom of the pickup compartment.

maybe this is rage bait at this point but if it is genuine, you spent 3500 on it less than two months ago. Surely you did not buy it thinking that level of investment would work out immediately. People do laundry once a week at most, laundromats probably a bit longer. You’ve had little time for anyone to actually see any of your changes. Either fix it and let it chill for a while to see actual behavior over time or sell it and get out of this sunk cost fallacy.

How are the prices for the items? It feels like a good place for people waiting for their laundry but if there is a kiosk next door that’s cheaper maybe they think it’s not worth it?

I own a laundromat and have 3 vending machines. They are such a pain!! It took us a while to figure out what people wanted. Mostly kids. Anything hot. All hot chips sell immediately in our mat. And the little cookies.

More standard sodas would help. Coke, Diet Coke and such. I associate vending machines with standard sodas and that’s usually what I am wanting out of them. Snacks are a bonus

I think you should stick with it. Give it time. Dont get too creative by putting in stuff like Prime Energy Drinks. Stick with the basics. Don’t reinvent the wheel.

Get it repaired. If the “ coins are out of order” and the cash acceptor is causing problems how do you expect people to buy anything ? Not everyone carries a credit card.

Our vending machine guy used to ask us to leave notes telling him what we wanted in the machine and/or notes with any type of feedback so that he could keep up with what to do or not to do.

Clean the bill accepter. The sensor gets dirty. Just like the card reader. They need to be cleaned.
