Type 2 definitely gets manic, it just looks different like spending all your money, not sleeping, feeling on top of the world you just don’t get angry your either on top of the world or can’t pull your self out of bed

bipolar 1 w/ psychotic features here!! i love mania, it’s addicting, until psychosis hits and then it becomes scary really quick. i accomplish so much but then suddenly everyone is out to get me, people are in my closet, and all my teeth are falling out! it’s a love hate relationship.

I quit my job, bought two cars, started a successful business for a year and then landed myself in the hospital on the come down. Mania is the best and worst mental hell.

I have bipolar 2 and hypomania is a real thing for you with Bipolar 1 to belittle our symptoms is sad. I was in a manic state for 4 months once.

Mania terrifies the fo me. I thought I was a god. I was invincible. No one should have all that power. The worst part.. you don’t realize you’re manic until you crash and realize all the sh you did.

I do so much. So much organizing and cleaning. So determined and motivated. I get fit and healthy. But then I spend all my money. Quit my job. Keep forgetting to take my meds. Drink excessively. Date around. Become unpredictable. Then isolate and hate this life until the next mania. I really don’t feel like I have a middle ground.

bipolar 2 can get manic, this is incorrect. I was hospitalised after a manic episode before being diagnosed with type 2, because my depressive periods were longer. I also have mixed episodes.

Bipolar one with psychosis is not only extremely dangerous but brings unimaginable harm to family members. Usually people that are manic, aren’t taking their medication properly and are not taking their d diagnosis seriously it’s selfish.

3 minutes or hours manic is not bipolar. That’s bpd. Mania creeps in slowly then escalates to full blown mania.
