@crimescene.cleaning: Part 2 Caption: In Part 1, we shared the heartbreaking story behind this cleanup. 💔 Today, we started decontaminating the actual scene in the kitchen. The top layer of tile looked fine after surface cleaning… but biohazard has a way of hiding. 🦠 When we pulled back the grout lines, we found contamination under the tile, trapped between the seams. To properly finish the decontamination, we’ll have to chip up at least 4–5 tiles to access and clean the subfloor beneath. This step is critical. If we skipped it, bacteria, pathogens, and odor could remain trapped, posing a serious health risk. ⚠️ While I worked on this area, another technician continued the full-home decontamination, tackling every spot where cross-contamination occurred. my mom passed unexpectedly back in 2016. she was dead a week before anyone found her. the coroner ruled it not suspicious death. you could see her outline in the carpet in her bedroom where here body lay for that week. she had head trauma that was never explained. no one came and cleaned it. my sister and I got on our knees in the afternoon and scrubbed her blood n other "matter" out of that carpet while we cried our fukking eyes out.
