The respect for marriage act is still law and this lawsuit isn’t challenging it so existing gay marriages are protected and if obergerfell is overturned you can get married in a state that does allow it and the state that bans it must recognize it.

SCOTUS only takes a fraction of cases. The fact that they were asked doesn't mean anything. This is media malpractice to make headlines about it at this point. IF they take the case, then yes, I will be very concerned.

I don’t know if this will give you any comfort but this lawsuit she’s using for this has been around for 10 years and several federal appeals courts have basically told her to touch grass with it and let it go. There’s a couple articles that have said about 3 of the conservative justices don’t seem interested in it and that the age of this case and the number of rejections it’s had in lower courts makes it a huge long shot to be heard

My husband and I got married roughly 10 months ago. Those saying our marriage will be fine, my response, says who? This government nothing is sacred or off limits. They are vile evil people. In the end they will lose but unfortunately we have to fight all over again.
