Fun fact: The character of Gladys is a direct allegory to the Pied Piper. She lures the town's children away as a punishment for some crime they must have committed. In this case, it's a symbol for gun violence and the school shootings.

This is the kind of movie that is just not very good but people who took a couple film classes jus make up explanations to try to make it more than it is. Creating their own hidden meaning and allegories to feel smarter than.

i more so like the idea of addiction and substance abuse, the school shooting aspect is definitely there, but the kids aren’t dead..? theyre alive but different and they might never be themselves again, but they could with support and effort to be better. but i think anyone can get different things from this movie

The gun was kind of a red herring imo & did allow for a nice touch of convenient exposition when Archer goes all “so what are we, some kind of Weapons?”. There are some inconsistencies but I love this movie so much. Probably will remain one of my top horror films of all time.
