I was introduced to Magic by playing commander and the people I originally played with were super toxic and only cared about winning. They only built the strongest deck with the strongest commanders currently on EDHREC. I decided to not go that route and wanted to build something fun instead, regardless of power level.

I build my decks to essentially have a fidget to keep me engaged while hanging out with my friends 🤣 it annoys my friends because they never know if my “in response” is affecting them or just making a 1/1 that can’t block

You’ve seen my Eshki deck run, I love it when I’m able to put gas in and pull off some extra combats, I might not knock anyone out but its still a blast pulling cards no one plays

This is the exact reason I took Expropriate out of one of my decks. Its not interesting, it's not fun, it's just kind of "ok if no one has a response I guess I essentially win?" . Rhystic Study stayed in though, because LOL

I’ve been trying to put together an ertha Jo deck and I call it bogo spells. If it wins 🤷♀️but I get to get the enjoyment of spell doubling for the hell of it

i just like building cool stuff. i got super into magic about 6 months ago and tried making up my own win strats,thought i was the first onw to think of the undying -1 strat and others and im like oh its already a thing 🙃

I had the opposite. I was presented Commander as a game that was casual and fun so I built fun lil guy decks. Rin and Seri, Astarion, Lord Windgrace. My friends who told me this game was casual brought Slivers and Edgar and broke me. Now I'm playing Sephiroth and building repugnant decks specifically to make them mad.

Ich habe anfangs nur Decks gebaut die ich auf irgendeine Weise cool fand und in meinem Pod keiner gespielt hat. Ich habe es geliebt Chaos zu stiften 😈😂😁 Mittlerweile baue ich Decks die auch gewinnen wollen, allerdings ist mir der Win nicht so wichtig 😅 lieber Chaos stiften, deswegen bin ich Grad an 2 Chaos Decks dran

I’ve had the same playgroup of 5 or 6 guys since 2004 so I tend to play decks that don’t piss people off because I want everyone to continue to play together. lol
