@i2c_jason: Dialing in the RP2040 PWM output and testing with the O-scope. Lots of small but valuable learnings here, so I wanted to share it. #lenr #energy #fusion #engineering #project

Just so we’re clear, ringing is visually and mathematically cool, not practically cool. 🤣

interesting.. we used to have a 2ft x 1ft unit full of power electronics and tuning equipment to generate our ultrasonic signals for the transducers but that was 30yrs ago

How are you generating the PWM? Hardware module or effectively bit banging it with a toggle?

speaking of o-scopes, because I am too mentally special/fabulous/cheap to buy one off of Facebook marketplace, I have been making the worst o-scope you have ever seen out of esp32 🤣🤣 However it is very small and portable and instead of a screen, it has it's own local website that it sed the data to, so you can use it with your phone

I like to call them Silly-scopes because of all the squiggles. I appreciate the stops to show the more basic things like crimping a wire. I’ve done it hundreds of times but I can still appreciate seeing someone else break it down.

Why not use sinusoidal signals? They resonate better. Square waves are just full of harmonics.

You may be well beyond the capabilities of the RP4020 PWM if you are going for 105khz vs the documented max of 152mhz.

I am like a kindergartener sitting in a college classroom. Zero understanding, no clue about how or why anything like this works, but smiling ear to ear because I'm just glad to be here to witness it. 😂
