The toxic person, is usually the ENTERTAINER of the group, the clown. They make fun of other people, and the group accepts it, because that toxic person doesn’t do it to THEM. The toxic person makes fun of the person that they ALL are secretly intimidated by, which is why the entire group accepts it. And they could be intimidated by the person’s looks, intelligence, etc.

that's exactly what happened I just removed myself they have a loyalty together despite the fact that 1 of them shows unhealthy characters so my loyalty was removed 💯 let them move on without me and watch all the dirt between them come out in good time that's not for me

I knew a popular person and he would behave in ways I would never get away with. we worked as legal secretaries and he would gossip about me. He'd line his receptionist table, bc he was always chosen bc he had nice teeth and smile: he"d line this table with books but he never read anything and yet he got away with it. long story short I went on SSDI and spent all my time reading books he worked his life away. I'd call that spiritual justice.

Group norms. People will go to lengths to conform and make others comply or they are bullied and can be ostracized. Authentic people do not have many friends and are labeled negative words because they challenge or deny the status quo.

Yep, it happened in a friend group a few years ago. I left the group, the group fell apart. Then they realized she was the problem and wanted me back instead. I tried, but it was a group lacking trust now.
