The people defending Kendra aren’t people who were abused by doctors. They can see that this isn’t that. The people defending Kendra are people who have also delusionally believed someone was in love with them when they weren’t and felt rejected when they were smacked in the face with reality, and then crashed out.

I think it also plays on people who have had extremely helpful & healthy professional relationships with their mental health team, and we immediately feel protective over our Dr or team.

you know what, you’re completely right. I had something happen to me, and responded in ways that made me look unstable. therefore, I was branded as crazy and not believed. I don’t think things happened the way Kendra thinks they did, but I hate seeing people mob against her when she is so clearly in a state of active crisis. very few people offered me kindness and empathy when I was at my lowest, so it hurts me to see people having so little empathy for her.

Interesting take. Projective identification. Concordant (identifying with Kendra’s self) and complementary (identifying with Kendra’s object- the psychiatrist). I think you’re onto something.

Could cultural differences also be a problem here? Americans ( especially some WW) think informality and over familiarity is "customer service". I never allowed clients at my job to call me by my first name ( retired claims rep/ some of my clients were outpatients from the town's State Mental facility). I never let the clients even entertain the idea that they could hug me. The way she felt so comforable with running up to hug a Dr, could it be part her condition and part her culture of entitlement? She felt entitled regardless of another's discomfort. What could the Dr have done and not get written up as rude or whatever? Per her narrative- boundaries offend her. Could she have taken advantage of being a WW plus having a condition that requires "kid gloves"? Is there a point where empathy and trying to help turns into coddling?

I’ve been abused by someone like her and abused by my pediatrician. She scares me I see in my face, eyes, and speech the exact way my abuser acted. However I can see she is suffering and I really do hope she finds peace and the help she is in need of

Right. I’m all for validating feelings on both sides and accepting weirdos for who they are. But I cannot, I WILL NOT, endorse “healing” by dragging someone’s name through the mud this way.

as someone who has been abused by my ex therapist I literally hate what Kendra is doing because i feel like people will be more willing to dismiss what shit I went thru thinking I'm lying and dating my chat gpt or whatever.

We see a guy that looks like our brother or son, and we know what this society does when a white woman accuses a brown man of sexual deviance.

Thank you 😊 well said. If you don’t like her videos, don’t watch them. If you don’t agree with her, scroll past. But don’t strip her of the basic humanity of kindness. Not believing something doesn’t mean you need to be cruel about it.
