As a Texan who has been to Southern California I 10000% understand why it’s so expensive. I would pay the sunshine tax, the weather tax, the cool tax, whatever. I physically feel bliss when I am there. If I could pick up my extended family & move them to Cali, I would’ve been there yesterday

I will always choose a small cozy overpriced place with walkability all around me vs a large house in a subdivision where driving is a necessity. That’s my personal opinion but it’s just a better lifestyle for me.
