Video shows a spiral of flames rising into the air while more than 2,000 firefighters battle the blazes and locals and tourists face a severe heatwave. On Sunday, temperatures reached 43 degrees Celsius in some areas and are expected to remain above 40 degrees Celsius across several regions, particularly inland.
