Used cars is a 1/1 VIN. New cars there may be 5 of the same model and color combinations and then 20 more of the same model but different colors. Takes way more talent to work a new car deal right. These are just the facts.

I HATE used car follow up. put me on new cars all day. "hey how's the car? good thats what we like to hear." used cars, I'M the one getting calls that the car is busted. "I KNOW! I TOLD YOU WHEN WE WENT OVER DISCLOSURES AND YOU SAID YOU DIDN'T WANT A WARRANTY!"

I Sell both used and new cars. I think bith have yheir own battles. New car clients are extremely sensitive and always shopping. Used cars? Is kinda easier (personal opinion.

Used cars is 1000% easier then new cars. Used car customers are looking for a specific unit, they came to you bc, you had the right car at the right price and the right time. New cars are plentiful, there’s way more competition in new cars than used. Or you have ppl that just need a car, I get you approved, you buy the car bc you need it. New cars have smaller margins and the customers expect more! And there’s way more competition, used cars, basically no competition unit-unit. With a good F&I team, used cars are way easier. New cars, tough business with small margins and is all about volume.
