I feel the same way? I think there was just never that feeling of “I can speak my mind” because it wasn’t okay to be in the conversation as a child so I learned to just observe and listen to them. There’s just no true bond to them for me personally

Maybe because the families always seems to find something to criticize us about, which often makes the tension in the air odd, especially if you grew up in a narcissistic family, where everyone would just act weird, I have to go through this shit for 2 more years

Cause we can’t converse with our fam. We’re too familiar anything outside of that is kinda weird. For me I wasn’t able to speak up around my family they would always give unsolicited advice and if you input anything it’s labeled”disrespectful” so I be cool off them

fax i have the same problem, my dad thinks there’s something wrong he wants me to tell him, i cant it feels like there’s sum barrier, he wont understand he thinks im the problem when hes been building that barrier between me and him he was a middle son, we didnt grow up the same so its so many differences i wanna tell him but he just wont listen nobody has so i dont see why i should trust him

This is me sometimes but now most of the time , I do try and probably was a lil more in the past but idk it just I’ve never felt the same freedom or free when I’m with them compared to people outside this is probably some trauma I’m unaware of maybe felt judge or felt like it’s too weird or awkward

I’m the same way when it comes to family. I feel like growing up me and my twin sister was the black sheep of the family always being treated differently from the rest of the family never done anything for them to treat us so different but as we got older and after I graduated from high school that’s when everything changed we started to isolate are selves from the family stop going to family functions, less calling I was seeing how messy they was and how they were moving we don’t call the family but me and my twin are the topic of everybody’s conversation but it’s sad how I can’t come to family about things I want to talk about because if I do they go head and tell the whole world so we just keep to are selves me and my twin got are own apartment and I love it nobody is in my business or what goes in are house.
