When bred incorrectly which many Frenchies are due to BYB they struggle with improper noses. The breed standard for all brachy breeds prioritizes correct nose structure. This means wide nostrils. Be sure to check the national breed club website for ethical breeders of your brachy breed of choice.

Listen, I swear my Frenchies nose works better than all 4 of our other dogs. He has open nostrils. The vets were impressed with how well he breathes. It’s actually annoying because he will sniff out 1 piece of dog food from across the room. His ears however, another story. He only listens when he wants.

It’s been about 6 weeks since my frenchies surgery and all she wants to do now ALL day is go outside and stick her nose to the ground lol

All 3 of my pugs have gotten that surgery! Unfortunately the skin tissue grew back on one of my pugs so we’re going to do a revision.
