Midnights and TTPD were not meant for fans like you… They were for the girls. It had some of her best writing while also bringing in the corny pop writing similar to “shake it off” for midnights and TTPD was a release/break up album also for the girls. Anytime anyone says her best work was Folklore/Evermore and they don’t like the other stuff that just tells me you don’t actually like the essence of Taylor Swift. She is at her core a songwriter about her life. But she can also write fiction.

I love Taylor Swift, and have followed since her debut. She makes amazing music. However, I feel she has turned into one of the most tone-deaf artists. Everything from the time she’s dropping this announcement to the name of said album feels like she is so unaware of the climate we are living in. For someone with such an enormous platform I feel like she could do better. I want to be excited about her music, but I’m not.
