As the one with ADHD in a relationship, I get easily annoyed by my partner and easily turned off. I go weeks where I do not like them, want to be left alone, and hyper focus on every negative and annoying thing they do. I basically unintentionally convince myself I do not like them. Then I go back to adoring them for a few weeks, then back to wanting them gone. It’s a vicious cycle. I get along better with my partner when I don’t see them that often and that’s really inconvenient when I live with them. Lol

I notice everything , detach easily , feel people’s thoughts and feelings , read people , have feelings for everyone that I’ve ever dated that I can’t get rid of , I can’t forgive or forget I will focus on that trauma till I die ! I’m adhd and autistic along with bipolar and it’s hell

Pattern recognition is spot on. Also I feel you on forgiving but not forgetting because of the way you felt, you will always feel that. This is a new one to me that I’ve actually recognized recently and I TOTALLY relate.

That being fiery loyal to one person because you’re hyper fixated on them is so real 😓, and people telling me to diversify my portfolio when dating feel impossible because a new romantic interest consumes my entire brain. Even trying to “take things slow” feels like torture, because I’ve ruminated over this person and all the varying futures we could have to the point my brain is waiting for it to all play out exactly how I’ve imagined and it never does…. I hate it here 🥲!!!!
