I didn’t learn about John Prine until the day of his death and obviously it was too late then… But man did I go down the rabbit hole and I’m a better man for it. “In spite of ourselves” gets me every time.

I grew up listening to Prine on construction sites as a kid. He has made me laugh and cry. And I had the joy to see him live in 2019 at the Suwannee Spring Reunion in Live Oak. One of the best shows and memories of my life.

I missed his concert in Spokane Wa. And he was gone not much long after. I was bummed out. The same thing happened with happened with Garrison Keillor and Prairie Home Companion show.
