I don’t know why I’ve been seeing so many videos of people DROWNING their plants / submerging them completely in water for a few seconds and saying that’s “the correct way” bc apparently that allows all the roots to get some water… but it sounds a little counterintuitive to me…. Is it good or bad? Why is it suddenly a thing?

I forgot to water my elephant ear for about that long. all the old grow shrivelled and died. because we've established I'm lazy, I didn't address the dead pot on my porch either. took a look this week and it has new growth 🤦♀️

Idk I get worried because my Monstera seems to never need water? But I can only properly dust her by showering her, it can take like 5 months till her substrate is even remotely dry🫠

I've never been able to keep a plant alive for more than a few months, except for my cacti (which I forget about tbh). I even have a botanist tell me specifically when and how much to water stuff and where to put them in my place,,, still died. I'm cursed lmao
