I don't believe that area will ever be rebuilt. The coastal commission will make it very difficult and very expensive.

There is an amount of environmental cleanup required following fire to make sure water is clean, soil isn’t contaminated by burned toxic materials, etc. it’s not as simple as just going in and rebuilding. 🙄

I personally hope they don't rebuild there, the view of the ocean shouldn't belong to just the few who can afford it. I feel so badly for the lost homes and businesses but rebuild elsewhere. Just my opinion 😳

There is no sewer line along PCH. Each home has their own septic tank. All of those structures were built before there were strict regulations regarding public safety. Now a new home being built has to have a super shoring to protect a septic tank from beach erosion. The OP here should actually do some research as to the massive amount of money it takes to rebuild. The reality is that 99% of the structures will never be rebuilt.
