I'm a nursing student and was going down to surgery with the patient that was assigned to me for the day. they ended up canceling it, so the anesthesiologist just adopted me for the rest of the day and tossed me into a random room with a CRNA so I could watch a case. everything went real bad real quick and I got to see that CRNA in action, and it was one of the best experiences of nursing school yet

The entire GI room today 😱 when the patient’s vagal response resulted in a serious sinus pause and I casually tell the GI doc to pull back the scope and quietly administer robinul. 😎

I just had an endoscopy last week and I saw in my charts that I was at 64/40, no one even mentioned this to me. They acted like it went fine. That’s not normal? My bp does get down to 90/60 regularly.

Think about how many times we keep things from becoming an actual emergency, that’s why my watch thinks I’m randomly doing vigorous exercise 😂

My blood pressure got lower than they liked so they told my husband I would be hurting when I woke up because they couldn’t give me anymore pain meds! That was gall bladder surgery now I have to have a laparotomy to remove a giant mass! 😳
