I don’t buy the argument that past trends predict future trends. I mean … maybe? I think automating the ability to think and solve problems is one of the last things humans can do that machines couldn’t.

This is definitely an optimistic perspective. Unless there is some innovation in the compute space that drives down the inference cost, agents are just not cost effective to do this. This could just be another 3D printer hype train.
