Your Therapist Bestie :
Bestie, it’s actually pretty common for some folks with severe mental health disorders to experience ongoing psychosis — which can include delusions (beliefs that don’t match reality). From what Kendra’s shared, she might be experiencing that, and delusions can sometimes last for years or even a lifetime. 💛

If you have trauma or CPTSD you can be vulnerable to limerence. It’s like being under a delusional spell. It can last years unfortunately and if she is on medication i imagine it can complicate her perspective.

I had an episode one time. I thought I was 💀! It was after a major health decline. It was very real. I seriously thought I was in the 💀 process and called the ambulance and I thought they were getting my body ready for my family to come in and say their goodbyes. It was one of the most scariest days in my life!

It’s real! Every person has a seizure threshold, and every person has a psychosis threshold! If the ingredients are right, anybody can experience psychosis. Learning that was eye opening for me, and another fact is women in their late twenties going into thirties are more susceptible to experience an episode! Sending you love

Yes, you can be in psychosis for years. My dad has lived with major delusions my entire life (37 years). He won’t get treatment because he doesn’t think he’s wrong. It’s terrifying. I totally understand!

Many many people have severe mental health diagnoses that keep them in psychosis and fixed delusions. Unfortunately it’s actually very common.

The laugh made my neck hairs stand up! I think we have all been triggered by her one way or another. I have experienced some of it too so it’s a bit hard to watch.
