My dog doesn’t even let me clean her tear stains off of her face. That cat needs to teach my dog how to stay still.

out of all the cats I've had, I have only had one with extra ear wax. I had to clean his ears regularly too. he would start purring the second I grabbed the qtips!

One cat has never needed ears cleaned, always perfectly clean. The other cat has disgusting ears. We clean constantly and next day they are gross again. Vet always checks for mites but it’s just wax. So weird how different they can be. Same age, same diet, same lifestyle. 🤷🏼♀️

My cat has very little wax but some bad catne in the ears she won’t let me get, I wipe it as best as I can but she doesn’t want me touching it instead of her head

i worked at a shelter and it’s 100% genetics if one cat sibling has bad ear genes they all do and some are more sensitive to the ear wax than others

yes. my dude Cosmo has suuuuoer waxy ears. he's a greasy boy. he loves when I clean his ears out, gets a good scratch in there for him. my other 3? no wax 🤷♀

Heyy! I know you take really good care of your cats and I don’t wannt to seem rude or anything and I’m sure you have them on anti-flea treatment but cat acne is usually only on the chin and they other black dots might me flee droppings if they are all around her body. They easiest way to make sure if it’s nothing is if you put the little black dots in a glass of water and if it turns red it’s fleas if it doesn’t it’s nothing. Sorry if I’m being rude again!

Our dog has wax and I use cotton pad with wintergreen alcohol. It’s the best. She’s clean for months. A local rescue friend told me yrs ago when we adopted a dog prone to ear infections.
