@tailsofconnection: Replying to @Missy the BEST thing we can do to protect our dogs from moments when we just “have to do the thing” is give our dogs a lifestyle of positive reinforcement and choice and control. We practice cooperative care even if we end up in situations where we have to remove their choice bc it helps them recover faster and protects their relationship with us.
