we have a lot missing in Arizona. so many runaways from group homes. One girl Emily Pike was chopped up. hands and arms missing. it's so bad. I had no idea I'm Virginia. there is a FB page that's "missing in Arizona"

🙄 So no one actually did their research here, per usual. Virginia reports a high number of missing children on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) website, NOT because there are more missing children, but because ❗️the Virginia State Police proactively forwards ⭐️EVERY⭐️missing child case to NCMEC❗️Other states often use their own clearinghouses, whereas Virginia uses NCMEC as its central clearinghouse. This leads to the PERCEPTION that Virginia has a higher number of missing children, but in reality, it's due to ✨efficient✨reporting practices. So for the slow ones… other states don’t report to the national list, like Virginia does for EVERY CASE, they use their own state list.

Amber Alerts are still active – funding was never “cut off.” Alerts are only issued when specific evidence of an abduction exists (like info about a suspect or vehicle). i think the police need to take the ice cream truck drivers in for questioning. i’ve seen so many videos of different ice cream trucks driving around the neighborhoods. that’s super sketchy. surveillance cameras need put up. this needs stopped. it’s like the police isn’t looking into it as they should be. parents should also keep their kids away from those ice cream trucks, that’s the most “common & easy” way they lure the kids in. no kids need out past dark, inside by dusk. people need to keep a look out for any unusual stuff. cameras need put up at every house & building. hopefully it could find more answers.

The local news, WVEC 13 report "debunked" and said the children missing were not reported to the Virginia Missing Persons Clearing House. The news report never mentioned the listing on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. I'm no reporter, but why wouldn't they contact the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and ask them about it. That would be the first place I would start. THEY NEVER ASKED THEM.
