You’re absolutely correct. What’s right is right what’s wrong is wrong good catch on the gusset plates. Most people wouldn’t catch that.

How could someone, who builds those for a living, install that plate in the wrong spot? I’ve never built one of those in my life and I would know where to put it!🤦🏻

can't you simply remove the truss plate that was installed incorrectly and install a new one in the correct position? I'm a little confused about your reference to repair. it seems more a repositioning of the truss plate.

Sir question for u. Where the gusset plate meets the rafter, there big gaps in the structural supports going to the rather. Isn't that a fail as well?
