I’m hoping to get my first tattoo after my birthday, but I have a really low pain tolerance and want to be numbed. Is that something I would do at home first or the artist would want to do themselves?

This the actual tattoo is absolutely fine but I can’t sit still for too long I get cramp especially when I have to sit in a weird position 😂

Got my first tattoo in 2021 and I applied numbing cream to the area before getting it done and I had an allergic reaction to the cream so I braved it and got it done and it wasn’t as bad a thought the pain was going to be

is it bad to ask to move the design around, like if i don't really feel like the placement is right can I ask to readjust it? cause i want my first tattoo to be perfect as it is important to me, and I don't want to be annoying by asking?

had an artist, in 1.5 hrs did not stop complaining to me about how he was lonely and never got any girls, was going to Thailand to finally get a lady. I came in, legs unshaved, he did not shave the area of the tat, and did an awful job, it's the only tat I have that healed poorly (I even have one from summer 2016 when I went lake swimming three days later, healed better) RIP cute mushroom tat you had so much potential

I give general warning and upfront apologies for my leg- as my body wants to do the knee jerk twitch. But we did have to laugh when I nearly accidentally kicked one artist in the nuts. We both were so surprised 😂. He then said “I should rethink how I sit I think” haha
