That area has very deep wells that pull water from limestone aquifers, so lots of calcium carbonate. Try having a functioning faucet in Guelph 💀

If you have a water softener that is working properly, it should remove the hardness of the water and it should be no different than the tap water anywhere else in Ontario. It’s like saying “oh my city is 5 degrees warmer, my house will be 5 degrees warmer” like no theres a thing called ac.

I was born and raised here and the people dismissing you are being fools. You learn ways to mitigate it - and I love our tap water - but it’s very difficult to get used to it.
