all great reasons but if you’re strapped for cash I’ve found that you can rent them from the library just as easily!! Which is great if you’re a picky eater (like me) or trying to save money (like me). And the library pays the author for the book!

recipes are more likely to be tested and vetted, there is NOTHING like flipping through the pages of a cookbook, having a shelf of them makes a nice decoration, no ads or limitations when it comes to accessing the recipe (internet/power outage, sites being taken down, etc), and they are truly yours to keep. plus if you make changes or realize a shortcut or addendum, you're free to annotate :)

Also for recipes if I’m looking it up online I already have an idea of what I want. If I have a cookbook I might find something I like that I would have never thought of!

also cookbooks are just better in general, physical media will forever outlast digital, it's better to write down your recipes instead of keeping them in your phone, or, buying a cookbook!

Cookbooks are just better and more convenient in my opinion. Like I can google it sure but then I have to search through a bunch of the exact same recipes and figure out who’s I want to use, and what if I pick the wrong one?? Or it’s not specific so I have to look at other recipes to figure other steps out

Our guestbook at our wedding is the newlyweds cookbook. Haven’t made anything from it yet (8 years married this November 😅) but that’s much we love cookbooks in this house

No ads, I always know where the recipe u used is, I can take notes on the pages, I don’t have to worry about my phone dying, don’t have to worry about scrolling on my laptop or phone with wet/dirty hands, it’s easier to clean cookbook pages that laptop keys
