@summershirtproject: People often ask if Jordyn goes to school or if she’s homeschooled. If you are new to our page that question makes total sense because she looks young. Jordyn is actually 24. She has autism and went to school until she was 21. She now works full time at the shirt shop. When she did go to school, she was in a public school and had a great experience over the years. This video is from 4 years ago and it’s one of my favorites. Her senior year she got to ride to school every day with Bella-Kate and Allie-Rose (sisters that were our neighbors and also worked at the shirt shop) It was definitely a highlight to her senior year. As schools are starting in many areas (Hudson started last week) I wanted to share a reminder to talk to your kids about being kind, inclusive and caring towards others. Jordyn was fortunate enough to ride to school with friends but things as simple as a fist bump in the hallway, playing with someone at recess, sitting with someone eating lunch alone can all make a huge impact on someone’s. Kindness and inclusion doesn’t have to be big to be effective.
